Notifications

You can opt out at any time, to unsubscribe from receiving notifications on your desktop / device, follow the instructions below.

Firefox (Desktop):

1. Click on the hamburger button at the top right of the browser, and select “Settings”
   
2. Enter “Notification” in the “Find in Settings” box
3. Click on “Settings…” under notifications permissions.  Locate the https://globalnews.ca entry, select “Block” to unsubscribe from receiving push notifications from globalnews.ca
   

Chrome (Desktop):

1. Open site settings by copying the following and pasting into the address bar of a new tab in your browser: chrome://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https://globalnews.ca
2. Select “Ask (default)”
   

Chrome (Android):

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app .
2. To the right of the address bar, tap More Settings.
3. Tap Site Settings Notifications.
4. At the top, turn the setting on or off.

Safari:

1. Select Safari > Preferences
   
2. Select “Notifications“, select “Deny” for Global News to unsubscribe from receiving push notifications from globalnews.ca

To subscribe to receiving notifications on your desktop / device, please follow the instructions below.

Firefox (Desktop):

2. Select “Notifications“, select “Allow” for Global News to subscribe to receiving push notifications from globalnews.ca
