Tyre Nichols death: Stepfather calls for peace ahead of release of bodycam video, says he’s satisfied with charges

Rodney Wells, the stepfather of Tyre Nichols, spoke Friday and called on people to protest peacefully — should they choose to — when the bodycam video of the 29-year-old's encounter with police is released. Wells said that while he had pushed for charges of first-degree murder, he was satisfied with the decision of the second-degree murder charges that the five officers now face.
