NDP’s Singh calls Bank of Canada’s approach to inflation ‘wrong’

Asked about the Bank of Canada's interest rate hike on Wednesday as a means to cool inflation, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh said their approach is "wrong" in his opinion. Speaking to reporters in Ottawa, he also said increasing interest rates does not address the root causes of inflation, such as the war in Ukraine or supply chain issues.
