Hakuto-R Mission 1: Contact lost with ispace craft attempting 1st commercial moon landing

Japanese startup ispace Inc. attempted to land its Hakuto-R Mission 1 (M1) spacecraft on the moon on Tuesday, in what would be the world's first lunar landing by a private company. Ultimately, the crew said communication with the craft was lost, and engineers are investigating the situation. It's currently unknown if Hakuto-R Mission 1 landed.
